About the Facilitators:
Ronni Tartlet is a Jew from Miami who’s been doing Palestine solidarity work in and out of Jewish community since 1999. Laila Suidan is a mixed-race Palestinian-American who’s spent time studying and volunteering in the West Bank and also visiting her Palestinian family in Israel. She’s been doing Palestine solidarity work (writing, speaking, performing, and some straight-up protesting) in Seattle for a decade or so. They’ve been friends and co-conspirators since writing a zine together — The Missing Peace: Truth and Justice in Israel/Palestine — in 2001. They’re really excited to share inspiring stories of youth resistance with the rad folks at SYPP.

About the Facilitators:
Joanne Alcantara and Boo Torres recently started 2 Brown Chicks Family Farm, an active experiment in living sustainable lives in order to support the greater community. Joanne is also a community organizer with Pinay sa Seattle-GABRIELA USA. Boo is part of the Electrical Workers’ Minority Caucus within the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers. Both Joanne and Boo are queer women of color who grew up in this area and are interested in the survival and self-determination of their global communities.
