Talking about Palestine and Israel

Join us this month  for a multi-media workshop and dialogue on Palestine and Israel and its connections to our lives here. Youth and adults welcome!

Date: April 15, Thursday, 5:30 – 7:30pm
Venue: SYPP Office, 2820 E. Cherry St. Seattle, WA 98122
Facilitators: Laila Suidan and Ronnie Tartlet

About the Facilitators:
Ronni Tartlet is a Jew from Miami who’s been doing Palestine solidarity work in and out of Jewish community since 1999. Laila Suidan is a mixed-race Palestinian-American who’s spent time studying and volunteering in the West Bank and also visiting her Palestinian family in Israel. She’s been doing Palestine solidarity work (writing, speaking, performing, and some straight-up protesting) in Seattle for a decade or so. They’ve been friends and co-conspirators since writing a zine together — The Missing Peace: Truth and Justice in Israel/Palestine — in 2001. They’re really excited to share inspiring stories of youth resistance with the rad folks at SYPP.

Activist Conversations is a monthly, inter-generational dialogue on social justice. Every month community members facilitate a conversation on diverse themes  and skills related to social change and organizing.
