Join us for a new initiative at SYPP: Activist Conversations – a monthly, inter-generational gathering where folks come together to talk on a range of themes and skills related to social change and community organizing.

About the Facilitators:
Joanne Alcantara and Boo Torres recently started 2 Brown Chicks Family Farm, an active experiment in living sustainable lives in order to support the greater community. Joanne is also a community organizer with Pinay sa Seattle-GABRIELA USA. Boo is part of the Electrical Workers’ Minority Caucus within the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers. Both Joanne and Boo are queer women of color who grew up in this area and are interested in the survival and self-determination of their global communities.
