What is the SYPP School?
- Straight talk about gender and sexuality
- Breaking down how oppression works and how to fight it
- Shining a light on sexism, homophobia, transphobia, & gender and sexual violence, while making connections to race and class
- A dose of movement history, bringing women, queer, and trans folks out the closet of our history books
- Turn this information and analysis into action and design projects with other youth
The SYPP School is a school like no other. There are no lectures. There are no “teachers.” It’s a school where you know that your experiences are creating the curriculum. It’s a 12 week program for youth ages 13-18 where we’ll explore gender justice, build relationships, and learn how to take action for change. No experience is necessary, and ALL are welcome!!
